Gun Sense Chester County has several upcoming events to help educate interested individuals about gun regulation and gun violence prevention.
- Tuesday, July 11 7:15 p.m., Tips & Tactics for Engaging with Elected Officials, Church of the Open Door, 210 S. Broad Street, Kennett Square 19348. Join us to learn how to effectively convey your message to our elected officials. This two part program begins with “best practices” shared by elected officials and staff and then concludes with a mini case study drawing on data about the role of pre-purchase background checks for guns.
- Monday, July 24, 7:15 p.m., Gaining Perspective on Gun Sports. Frazer Mennonite Church, 57 Maple Linden Lane, Frazer 19355.
We have more in common than what divides us. People who are “not gun people” often have a hard time understanding why others participate in gun sports. This is an opportunity to learn more about those activities and why others enjoy them. We will also explore the diverse views within the gun sports community on gun violence prevention and gun regulation. The program will feature an informal discussion with gun sport enthusiasts. We ask that all bring an open mind and seek understanding, if not agreement.
